Please introduce yourself.

My name is Dr. Vedran Šebečić – general dentist, my collegaue is Ozren Mika Krznarić also general dentist, the name of our clinic is Dentus Perfectus which is modern dental clinic situated in the central part of Zagreb, Croatia, in Lastovska street n.12/a.

Dentus perfectus is represented by a team of experts specializing in the fields of dental medicine and implantology. We are equipped with up to date technology and high quality materials that enable us to offer you an accurate diagnosis. Our dentists and skilled staff provides treatments according to the highest international standards, ensuring top quality therapy and individual approach to patients.

How long have you been in business?

We have decided to start our dental clinic in 2014, after working in some private dental clinics we finally decided that we are ready to start our own business.

How many dental implant procedures have you done?

We have done some 400 dental implant procedures until today, our success rate is 99%.

Where do most of your patients come from?

Most of our patients are coming from our city and from neighborhood countries, such as Italy, Austria, Slovenia, UK.

What procedures do you typically recommend and perform?

Today we recommend most modern procedures. Certainly we try to look at each patient individually and offer the most optimal option. The procedure could be multidisciplinary and combines multiple disciplines in order to give a patient new smile.

What type of implants does your clinic use?

We are working with Nobel Biocare and Alpha Bio implants, they are world-renowned companies and are present in most countries of the world. Both companies provide lifetime warranty.

Can you please provide a quick description of the surgical procedure at your clinic?

1. Before surgery, we do intraoral exam and we do x-ray, so that we can decide which type of implant is going to be placed.
2. The implant is placed in the predicted space and closed with a special healing screw that protects the implant during the period of the osseointegration. The osseointegration depends on several factors and can last from 3 to 6 months. Procedure is done under local anesthesia (painless)
3. Placement of the crown – when the implant is osseointegrated, a superstructure is placed The impression of the bite is taken and based on it a crown is prepared. The crown is then placed on the superstructure and the final result is a new tooth.
4. Dental implant – An implanted tooth behaves like a natural one and should be treated as such. Visit your dentist regularly and take care of your oral hygiene.

How much do your procedures cost?

AlphaBio implant is $399, Nobel Biocare implant is $599. Our prices can be seen on our website.

Where do your patients stay while they are getting an implant done?

They can stay in local hotel that is only 7 minutes by walk away or they can book in city center, of course we can help them with accommodation.

It it safe in Croatia?

Croatia is widely considered very safe with low crime rates and a modernized, professional police force. Overall general crime throughout Croatia has decreased 2.7 percent in 2012; The roads and infrastructure are very good, and emergency response for vehicular accidents along interstate roadways is also very timely and capable.

Croatian police are professional and well respected and do not target or harass American citizens.

Does a patient need to be able to speak Croatian?

There is no need to speak Croatia, because our staff speaks English perfectly.

What is there to do in your city?

Zagreb got its start as two medieval fortress towns atop hills overlooking the Sava River, and was reborn in the Baroque period as center of business, perfectly located on routes connecting Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea.

These days, Zagreb is the heart of contemporary Croatia’s culture, art, sports, and academics, but its history is not forgotten. The unique blend of medieval towers, 19th century palaces, open-air markets, and ancient cathedrals and museums, make Zagreb the perfect city to explore.

What is the best time of year to travel to Croatia?

While there’s no denying that the blossoming spring and balmy summer months are the best time to visit Zagreb, autumn and winter also have their merits. Zagreb, unlike some other European capitals, does not go into hibernation as soon as it gets chilly and dark. The people just try to be more sociable to brighten things up.

What are the best places to eat in your area?

The best option would be to google best restaurants in Zagreb on TripAdvisor. A large offer of restaurants and local cuisine is hard to recommend the best.
